Dedication team with WM and banner

When the Lodge was being Founded it was decided amongst the Founders not to purchase a Banner at the time for Consecration but to have a special meeting on the 10th Anniversary of the Lodge where a new Banner would be presented to the Lodge. During those 10 years the Treasurer put aside the raffle monies at the Installation meeting into a “Banner Fund”. The object of this was to ensure that the costs for the Banner, a memento and the Provincial guests was covered at that meeting. This was achieved with a surplus of around £700. This was presented to the W Bro Paul Tarrant APGM along with monies from the Benevolent account to make donation of £7,600, enough to make the Lodge a Patron of the Festival 2022.

The meeting was held at Saxon Hall, where the Lodge had been Consecrated 10 years before, with W Bro Ron Carr, the Founding Secretary, in the Chair. The Lodge had elected Ron to stay in the Chair for this important and memorable meeting in recognition of his hard work and service in getting the Lodge Founded! Among the 68 in attendance were the new APGM, W Bro Paul Tarrant, and the previous APGM, W Bro Alan Everard. W Bro Alan had been a strong supporter of the Lodge and at the next regular meeting presented the Lodge with a Gauntlets for the WM, SW and JW to commemorate the 10 years.
